What is Eagle Television?

 

Eagle Television is the only local, terrestrial TV station on the Asian continent fully dedicated to advance Faith & Freedom.

Eagle TV was originally founded by American Christians and Mongolian democrats to help advance Mongolia's new democracy through the advocacy of freedom of speech, press, and conscience. Our most important mission is the advocacy of Christianity in Mongolia and biblical training of Mongolian Christians.

Eagle TV formats live news throughout the day with a number of strategically placed Christian programs designed to:

• Tell the Bible's story
• Disciple Mongolian believers in orthodox, evangelical Christianity, and
• Introduce Mongolians to the Gospel message.

Eagle TV's live newscasts have earned the reputation of "Telling the Truth," and providing opportunities for Mongolians to engage in live, open, uncensored debate and discussion about the trends and future of their own society. Eagle TV's approach to news and public affairs has transformed the way all TV stations in Mongolia approach public information, helping to create a free and transparent media in Mongolia.

Supermom
A weekly 90-minute children's program featuring in studio guests, cartoon segments, crafts, and music with biblical themes.

Shepherd's Heart
Visiting Bible teacher's Roger and Julie Barrier teach Principles of Spiritual Growth and Biblical models of intimacy. Shot and edited in Ulaanbaatar with a group of countryside pastors and other guests.

Christian World News
Weekly news program featuring news of concern to Mongolia's Christian community, including profiles of what God is doing around the world.

Together thru the Bible
Tom Terry's weekly Bible instruction program focused on basic Christian ethics and spirtual growth issues. See available online episodes at the right of this screen.

Church Life
Weekly profiles of Mongolian churches. From corporate worship to house churches, viewers learn "how church works," by watching this program.

Bible 2.0
Scheduled for release in late 2008, Bible 2.0 uses Bible movies in a special format to essentially present a "TV Study Bible" through the history and reliability of the Bible.

Eagle TV's Effectiveness
Our Christian programs are viewed more than 233,000 times a month. Our originally produced Bible studies (written to accompany our Bible movies) have been distributed to more than 15,000 people in the last 3 years. We've also had a significant effect on educating the average Mongolian believer about the Bible's story and the uniqueness of Jesus Christ.

Eagle TV is owned by the American nonprofit organization, AMONG Foundation. AMONG is headquartered in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Eagle TV has 121 Mongolian staff making it the second largest television employer in the country behind Mongolian National Television.
